I had some challenges on my hands as a kid - I was the only one that had any interest in horses. I would ride my bike around the neighbouring properties and if I saw a horse in the paddock, I asked to ride it. Miraculously I never got hurt but I probably bounced a lot better then!
Being around horses has always brought me so much joy, and I feel very lucky that I get to ride and care for them every day – even on the cold mornings!
I spent several years trail riding and eventing, but now my passion is dressage and I have a lovely warmblood mare that is at medium level. I am coached by Deb Oliver who is a Barastoc sponsored rider, and I absolutely love learning and becoming a better rider.
