Goals: Our goal for this year is simply to have fun. After facing a few setbacks, I've come to the realisation that our performance in the competitive setting isn’t what defines us as a rider and horse, nor does it define us as a team. Lu and I have experienced the highs and lows of eventing, nonetheless we still love it! However, I have taken a step back to reflect on why I entered this sport—it wasn't because I wanted to win lots of ribbons or jump super high; it's because I've loved horses ever since I saw one on a road trip as a child. To be a part of the wonderful world of horses was a “present” that I had asked Santa Claus for every single year since I was a kid, so I often think: let's just enjoy living little me’s dream rather than worrying about the score a dressage judge gives me!
