What do you love most about your horse? Rachel is the most beautiful pony that I own, I have had her for 5 years. I lover her nature, her movement, her personality, actually I lover everything about her. She is the best.
Funny habits, how does your horse make you smile? Rachel makes me laugh in many ways but I can ride past something everyday then on day she will decide she is scared of it. I have no idea whey that's just her and it makes me laugh. If she is the last out of the stable she will rear up and stand on her back legs for ages for attention. We love watching this and nearly always take her out last, we call it her party trick.
Horse’s Name: Lily's Rose
Height: 14.3hh
Colour: Bay
Breed: Riding Pony

What do you love most about your horse? I love that Rose is quiet young and green, teaching her new things is challenging and I love a challenge. We have been doing some trail riding, jumping, going over tarps. When it warms up I want to take her swimming in the lake. I have never has such a young horse before her so we are taking it slow as we are both learning about each other. I have recently re joined Pony Club so Rose and I can take on some new adventures together.
Funny habits, how does your horse make you smile? Rose always follows me around, she lives to eat and always thinks I have food for her. She loves to eat BBQ Shapes and I love jumping her bareback.
What do you love most about horses? I love my horses, I can be having a bad day and just walking out the back to see them and hear them neighing at me makes my day. I tell them so many secrets and we have the best time together.
Do you have an idol in the Equine World? OMG yes I Love Jess Stones, I have never actually met her but 1 day I will.
Who is your biggest supporter? My Mum is my biggest supporter, she helps me everyday in my passion for horses. We are always doing horsey tings together and supports me 100%.
Describe your favourite horse memory? My favorite memory would have to be when I was over in SA at the SHC show and Rachel and I was awarded Runner Up in the Small Hunter Pony and I was qualified for Grand Nationals. I never thought I would ever do it but I did.
What are your ambitions or dreams with your current horses? With Rachel we are going to continue to show her and do Breed Shows. Maybe even try some Dressage with her. She has won me so much in the 5 years I have had her she has fulfilled my dreams in qualifying for Grand Nationals so anything now is a bonus. With Rose I am so looking forward to getting her out and about to get my confidence. With Covid we haven't had much of a chance to take her out. Pony Club will be very good for her mind, and we will continue to improve on our show education.
Where will I be in 5 years? In 5 years time I'm sure I would of collected a lot more horses to my team. Mum and I are going to buy some young ponies and educate them. We will go to some shows and play around with them at home. I still want to be riding show horses and I just love it.
Why do you want to be part of the Barastoc Junior Squad? I have already been part of the Barastoc Junior Squad for 2 years now, I love that we are called the Barastoc Family. I have got some really good tips from being in the team from grooming, to feeding to seeing other kids trying new things with their ponies. I actually really enjoy the challenges that we are set and then watching them all come together when Trish has finished making them. I think I really did an excellent job of promoting that I was a member, I am always wearing my merchandise that I was given. Rachel is always wearing her rug under supervision when we are at competitions as she is a rug destroyer and I don't want to wreck it. Mum is always posting my achievements on her Facebook page with the Barastoc hashtags on it.
How do you think being a member of the Barastoc Junior Squad will help your riding? Barastoc has such great tips and advice for us young riders, I have watched many tips online form all the professionals that get posted to the page. When see some tips I like to test them out, some work and some don't but I always give it a go.
Which Barastoc Ambassador would you most like to meet? Since I love showing I would love to meet and have a lesson with Paul Austin. I have seem some of his riders that he has taught they are beautiful riders. Unfortunately because we live in the middle of nowhere it makes it hard to get lessons.
Have you fed Barastoc to your horses in the past? If so, what products did you use? Yes I feed Barastoc Groom I love this product, it makes my horses coat nice and give them a great shine. We also use Calm Performer for our pellets the horses think they are yummy.
