Who supported you in the early days?
Both our families were a great support in our childhood, from teaching us a good work ethic to picking cattle at a Campdraft.
What are some of the memories you look back on and smile about?
Definable when Kurt won the Australian Novice Rider title 18/19.
How did you get started in the industry and who inspired you?
Both Kurt and I grew up on cattle stations with families that were very successful horse people so our love grew from a very early age, our biggest inspiration would have to be Cameron Parker.
Who do you look up to in the equestrian world and why?
Cameron Parker and Matt Moffet, both of these guys are the complete package from riding 2yo to competing at an elite level they are amazing people and great athletes.
What Barastoc feeds are you currently using?
Equibix, Calm Performer and Work Horse
What do you look back on and wish you could have done differently – and what advice do you have for other riders?
We have a rule in our camp it’s no regrets only lessons, having regrets can way you down and affect your mental toughness as an athlete it’s very important to work on your mental toughness just as much as you would work on your horses fitness.
What are some approaches to troubleshooting some common training and horse problems within your chosen Equine Discipline?
I think there are a lot of problems caused from not getting your horse stopped properly in the cutout yard. My advice would be to slow down and make sure you get to the bottom of your stop at home even if it does make you late on the cow, home is for fixing problems not creating more.
