What do you love most about horses? I believe they are such incredible creatures who devote their life to us. The feeling on achieving something and building a connection with your horse is probably the best feeling in the world.
Do you have an idol in the Equine World? My coach Justine Greer is a massive idol of mine. All her horses are trained phenomenally and she rides so amazingly. Charlotte DuJardin is obviously another inspiration as I hope to train overseas and go to the Olympics one day.
Who is your biggest supporter? My mum. She helps in every way possible, from being a strapper, to a coach, to a homework helper and all round mum. I couldn't ask for a better supporter. Describe your favourite horse memory? When I was seven, my parents walked out side to see me riding mums young horse, who was quite naughty, with a helmet but no other gear. At the Spring CDI, parading around the boneo main arena after winning the CDI-J was very special to me
What are your ambitions or dreams with your current horses? I hope to compete at Sydney CDI next year in the U25 Grand Prix on Diego. It is a short time frame but both my mum and coach believe I can accomplish this.
Where do you see yourself riding in 5 years? In 5 years I hope to be overseas riding in a professional stables. I just can't see my life without horses.
Why do you want to be part of the Barastoc Junior Squad? There are several reasons why I'd like to be apart of the Barastoc Junior Squad. Firstly, Andrew Sopar has been the president of my pony club, Riddells Creek and I believe he is such a fantastic ambassador for the brand I'd like to represent. Secondly, I have had involvement with Barastoc events which I have just loved. I was champion rider at barastoc horse of the Year and reserve champion rider twice. Lastly, members of the junior squad including Lauren Cocks and the Griffiths sisters speak really highly of the squad and I think are great ambassadors. I would too love this opportunity.
How do you think being a member of the Barastoc Junior Squad will help your riding? Sharing a connection with other members of the squad gives me an opportunity to learn and experience new things which could definitely help my riding.
Which Barastoc Ambassador would you most like to meet? I already know the Luxmoore family really well. Harry, Isabelle and I all represent Braemar College in Inter-school events. I would like to meet Russell Johnstone as I have been mainly riding dressage these past few years but with my young horse, Dutch I intended to show jump a lot more. I believe meeting Russell would be an amazing experience and I am positive there is a lot he could teach me.
Have you fed Barastoc to your horses in the past? If so, what products did you use? Yes I have used: Calm Performer and Speedi-Beet - for our fat ponies !
