What do you love most about your horse? His quirky personality. He is a real character around home, he sometimes skips in his canter and can spin on a dime, not always helpful. He is very eager to learn and I have a lot of fun with him.
Funny habits, how does your horse make you smile? He loves head scratches. He also nods when he finishes a dressage test, like he is telling me he did a good job.

What do you love most about your horse? She is so trusting, I love how she lays down and allows me to give her a massage. She waits for me every afternoon when I get off the bus to get her apple.
Funny habits, how does your horse make you smile? How her bottom lip quiverers when she's nodding off to sleep. Daisy also snores!! She has woken people up at events snoring.
What do you love most about horses? I love knowing that every day is going to be different. Horses are living beings that can be feeling in a mood, or playful, or lazy, its interesting to get to know them all better as individuals to help our relationship. They are great companions and I am so lucky to have many horses to work with.
Do you have an idol in the Equine World? Carl Hedin and Kelly Lane.
Who is your biggest supporter? My parents are definitely first on the list. I have been given so many opportunities through horses and my parents support this crazy dream by taking us to events all over the state. My sisters are also an important support to me, they help with my horses and at events we work together to get each other in the ring.
Describe your favourite horse memory? There are so many incredible memories. However the most treasured ones are the ones singing in the truck, hanging out with friends and just enjoying the competition environment. I was very excited to ride at SIEC at Nationals. I was called up as a reserve rider and was overcome with emotion that I took home a national rug, it really was a fairy tale. She was a bit naughty in the jumping and from jump 2 to jump 6a I had no stirrups. I lost one and could not get it back, then dropped the other to be even over the jumps.
What are your ambitions or dreams with your current horses? To have King competing official pony dressage competitions, I plan to take him to DWTS. I am also looking forward to attending both State championships next year to see how much he has improved from now. I am looking forward to getting my new TB up and going, he was 2 weeks OTT when I got him and he is an exciting prospect. nI plan to have him in the ring early next year.
Where do you see yourself riding in 5 years? Hopefully competing higher official EA dressage with my current and future young horses. I also would like to ride FEI at the CDI's. I love training young horses.
Why do you want to be part of the Barastoc Junior Squad? I feel I have been a good representative of the Barastoc Junior Squad. I work hard and volunteer at events. We promote Barastoc products and we can talk from a history of experience when people ask what feeds we use. It is always exciting to stop at the trade stand and talk to the Barastoc rep. We make use of the nutritionist and mum phones for advice when she needs to. I take great pride in making sure our horses are always looking fantastic, their coats a brilliant on Barastoc Groom and we are always neat and tidy as well. I feel I am a good role model to other young riders. Mum often receives messages and emails after events thanking us for helping their children, being polite and working hard. We attend many events and are members of multiple societies/clubs, we are very proud to wear our Barastoc uniform.
How do you think being a member of the Barastoc Junior Squad will help your riding? Riding is not only done in the saddle but on the ground as well. Being apart of the squad teaches me new things and inspires me every day. I think the opportunities we have experienced, like making videos and attending equitana have made me a better person and that has made me a better rider. I appreciate a lot more about what goes into getting to the top now.
Which Barastoc Ambassador would you most like to meet? Claire Wickins
Have you fed Barastoc to your horses in the past? If so, what products did you use? My mum has been feeding her horses Barastoc since she was 16 years old. What product we are using depends on what competitions we have coming up and which horses are in work. They do not all get the same thing and Barastoc has so many products to make this easy. I am mainly in charge of making the feeds at night. Groom Speedi-Beet Supreme Command Calm Performer Complete Performer Breed N Grown Low GI Cube Rebalance Horse Block
