With a lifelong involvement in the equine industry, over 30 years Trish brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and genuine passion to everything she does. From hands-on work with horses to competition involvement through her family performance stud, Lals Haven Warmbloods, education via managing the Barastoc Junior Squad, and broader industry development within the marketing sector of Barastoc, her career has been shaped by a deep respect for the horse and the people who work with them.
Trish’s passion lies not only in performance and results, but also in horse welfare, correct training, and supporting riders at every stage of their journey. She is also an Equestrian Australia Jump Judge—an ambition she worked towards over many years. So you may see her at Eventing or Jumping events during the year.
First and foremost, her time was dedicated to supporting her family every weekend, from Pony Club through to EA World Cup jumping events. Wes, Sarah, and Tiffany all competed to a high level in showjumping, and today Trish is proud to see that love of riding continue with her four grandchildren.
Outside of her professional life with horses, Trish enjoys a balanced lifestyle that reflects the same care and dedication she brings to the equine world. Time spent with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, and breeding pygmy goats at her home Lals Haven Goat Stud providing relaxation and perspective away from the arena—helping to fuel her ongoing enthusiasm for the industry she truly loves.
