Your age – Fav food’ and or what food you do not like
I am 15 years old turning 16 in November. My favourite food would definitely be pizza haha.
What makes you really happy – What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not riding?
What really makes me happy is going to the beach with family and friends and spending as much time in the sun and surf as possible! When I’m not riding I normally catch up on all the school work I miss or ride down to the beach for a swim!
What colour is your horse- height – age – level
Billie is a dark brown colour and is trained to advanced level dressage which we are soon competing in. What I love most about her is her cheeky attitude and willingness to learn new movements. Sonny is also dark brown but he has three white socks! Sonny is getting a tune up with Scott Pickering who breaks in our horses – but after this I am going to ride him and start his lead up to a newcomer year in 2020! I am excited because I can continue to learn from Billie who is very educated thanks to Carolyn and Pam, and I can teach Sonny these things Billie has taught me!
Billie has sleep over’s at our place which Pam allows sometimes before competitions but Billie really loves being around her real mummy Pam and running through the fields with her other sisters and even her Mum who is still alive. When she isn’t doing this she spends time with me getting ready for competitions and having lots of snuggles! We have to buy the big packet of carrots as these are Billie’s favourites!
How long have you been riding?
I have been riding since the age of 5 and didn’t start competing until I was 10!
What you love most about your horse?
What I love most about horses is the amazing feeling you experience when you are around them. For some reason whenever I am around them I just feel so happy and free and all the weight is lifted of my shoulders.
If you had to pick just one, what is your favourite discipline?
If I had to pick one discipline it would probably be dressage because I love putting so much hard work into tests to get them foot prefect and getting a great result!
Tell us what your goals are for the future?
My goals in the future are to keep competing on Billie with Pam coming along with us (she is now my second show mum) and bring our newcomers out into the scary show world!
Why did you enter the Barastoc Junior Squad ?
I wanted to enter the Barastoc Family because I really want to have the great experience my sister has (she has been in the BJS for years now) and learn lots of new leadership and horsey skills that she now has. The Barastoc family also seems so exciting to be apart of!
Who is your biggest supporter?
My biggest supporters would have to be all of my family, friends and trainers. Without them I wouldn’t be where I am today!
Do you have an idol in the Equine world
My idol in the equine world would have to be either Lisa Martin, Briana Burgess (who is Pam’s Neice), Nichola Paff (who are all dressage riders) and Jess Stones (who is amazing show rider) – and also I have a few male idol’s including Brett Parbery and Rick Paff (dressage), Matt Snell (show riding).
If you could meet one famous person in the world, who would it be?
If I could meet one famous person it would probably be Matt Harnacke as I watch all of his youtube videos and he just looks like such a professional and happy rider.

At Sydney Royal recently, I was called in First from the circle – I was the only teenager riding – and again was against all the adults! My Nan has the footage and I could not believe how well Billie was working in that massive arena!
